What You'll Do As Senior Lead Corporate Counsel, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Airwallex's ambitious growth across APAC. You'll lead and negotiate high-stakes commercial, SaaS, technology, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements, serve as a trusted legal partner to Sales, Product, Compliance, and GTM teams, and drive scalable legal processes that enable operational excellence. You'll also advise on M&A and help shape our legal risk management strategy. Responsibilities: Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of contracts—including SaaS, technology, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements. Serve as a legal partner to Sales, Product, Compliance, and GTM teams to close deals and mitigate legal risk. Design and implement scalable legal processes, playbooks, and templates to ensure efficiency and operational excellence. Advise on and support M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and integration. Provide expert legal advice on fintech, regulatory, and compliance matters, including KYC/AML, data privacy, and emerging technologies. Manage legal risks by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and templates. Liaise with external counsel and manage litigation or dispute resolution as needed. Mentor and supervise junior legal team members. Collaborate globally with Airwallex's legal, compliance, and risk teams on multi-jurisdictional deals and projects. Who You Are We're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory. Minimum qualifications: Law degree and qualification to practice in a common law jurisdiction (Hong Kong, UK, Australia, or Singapore preferred). 10+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial, financial services, or corporate law, ideally with both law firm and in-house experience at a fintech, financial institution, or high-growth tech company. Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating SaaS, technology, and commercial contracts. Experience supporting M&A transactions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. High motivation, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience in a fintech or high-growth, globally distributed company. Experience managing a legal team. Strong knowledge of fintech/TMT regulatory issues, including data privacy, cyber security, and intellectual property. #J-18808-Ljbffr
