Reporting to the National Ground Operations Manager, incumbent will Identify, champion, develop and coordinate programs, in the area of Global Standard Operating Procedure (GSOP). These areas will include GSOP operations audits, toolkits, sharing best demonstrated practice, monitoring global service quality, operational process efficiency and operational cost improvement. Incumbent will also act as the primary contact for Singapore country in relation to GSOP projects relating to Hub, gateway and RO. Responsibilities: Propose, gain agreement and implement actions to ensure that GSOP performance meets Customer (internal and external) and Network expectations. Direct, manage and implement specific programs and projects, to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and to the agreed specification resulting in a positive impact on GSOP and operational performance. Country champion for all standards and procedures programs. These include GIMS, ISO, TAPA, IATA, GSOP related matters. Provide specialist support to country operations to ensure compliance to all prevailing standards. Introduce improved work practices and share best practice. Coordinate country implementation of programmes ensuring appropriate technical, operational and training support is provided. Communicate performance, issues and actions needed to resolve or improve. Conduct presentations, and other regular updates to management and peer group. Develop, communicate, implement and monitor GSOP programmes and performance. Conduct regular Gemba Reviews and specific audits at the various service centers to ensure compliance before regulatory certification. Liaise to ensure program direction, implementation and success of projects. Provide the overall direction and implementation strategy for the projects being delivered by the GSOP function. Coordinate First Choice projects e.g. GEMBA reviews. Requirements: 3 years’ experience with exposure to all operations sub functions and, in particular within the PUD environment. 2 years in depth understanding of ISO/GSOP auditing techniques within the transportation industry. In depth knowledge of DHL Express operations processes preferred. Excellent project / process and business process re-engineering skills with strong business acumen. Proven ability in report writing: able to prepare analytical reports highlighting and interpreting key business information. Highly motivated, good team player. Flexibility in operating style and attitude. Good presentation skills, good negotiating and influencing skills. Experience in managing people as in-direct reports. Broad-based computer knowledge with a good understanding of information systems needs relating to the express courier industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
