Senior Applications and Proposal Engineer, PS Leads the presentation and development of process solutions, addressing complex technical inquiries and ensuring feasibility. Mentors junior engineers, manages customer relationships, and coordinates follow‑up and negotiations with sales. Leads the development of comprehensive proposals/solutions for complex projects, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders (sales, BD, product, applications) and market/customer demands. Prepares detailed cost estimates, engages in contract negotiations, and collaborates with internal teams and junior engineers to ensure successful tender submissions and alignment with organizational goals. Main tasks and responsibilities Independently present standardized and customized process solutions to customers. Develop attractive business cases to be presented to customers and other external stakeholders. Formulate and implement a strategic plan to optimize company positioning and maximize the probability of securing the project. Define and propose application proposal, collaborating with solution and process engineers to ensure feasibility. Clearly articulate the value proposition of proposed solutions to customers and internal teams. Follow up on leads and negotiate proposals and contracts in coordination with sales. Lead the preparation and compilation of tender documents. Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary inputs and ensure cohesive and accurate proposal submissions. Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Direct, mentor, and lead junior engineers, providing guidance and support. Cross‑region support from application, product, and costing teams. Related work experience 5‑9 years’ experience in sales, applications & process technology in the chemical industry, especially in chemicals and fine chemicals industrial area. Experienced with plant operation and DCS control practices. Familiar with equipment, instruments and other components used in chemical plants. Familiar with EPC tendering processes, including bid documentation, bid preparation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. A background in process simulation will be regarded as a strong advantage. Formal education or equivalent University degree and minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemical engineering. Skills Customer‑oriented, teamwork focused, strongly committed to achieving results. Positive attitude, open‑minded, excellent presentation and communication skills. Desire to learn, proactive mindset, and ability to think innovatively. Trainer for junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Capable of working under high pressure, effective time management, systematic and structural working style. Fluent both in writing and speaking in English.
