Woodside led the LNG industry development in Australia and applies this pioneering spirit to future energy challenges. Our global headquarters are in Perth.
About The Role
Woodside is seeking a Cross Product Analyst to join the Analytics team in our Singapore Office. This role supports the Global Trading and Operations team’s trading activities by enabling and informing commercial decision-making. The Cross-Product Analyst is a multi-commodity role providing analytical support across marketing and trading functions, focusing on LNG, oil, and ammonia markets, as well as broader macroeconomic factors. Responsibilities include monitoring supply and demand fundamentals, tracking market prices and physical flows, and interpreting market news to identify opportunities and shape trading strategies. The role also supports internal reporting, such as performance tracking and deal verification, and contributes to continuous improvement by enhancing tools and processes. This role reports to the Head of Analytics and collaborates with other analysts while building relationships with stakeholders to share insights and support team objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with traders to provide timely, data-driven insights that support trading decisions, portfolio optimization, and market positioning – focusing on ammonia while gaining exposure to LNG and oil
Own the evaluation, onboarding, and management of external market publications and consultants, ensuring value through regular engagement and acting as the internal focal point for access, licensing, and training
Develop LNG supply-demand balance models and analytical tools to support market analysis and forecasting
Develop and share weekly price markers and short-term forecasts, and distribute fortnightly market intelligence reports
Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and the Board, including performance tracking and deal verification
Collaborate with other analysts to share market intelligence and support cross-commodity analysis
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and identify opportunities for process improvements
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. Experience in ammonia, hydrogen, or fertiliser markets is advantageous
Numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ETRM systems; ability to handle large datasets
Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to translate complex data into clear insights
Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities across products
If you think you can do this job but don’t meet all the criteria, that’s OK. Please apply. At Woodside, we value diverse experiences and backgrounds as they provide unique perspectives that help us innovate.
Recognition & Reward
What you can expect from us:
Commitment to ongoing development, including on-the-job opportunities, formal programs, coaching and mentoring
Industry-leading 18 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary carer, with continued superannuation during any period of unpaid parental leave up to 24 months
