Corporate Actions Specialist Job Description
This role involves overseeing corporate actions across global markets, ensuring precise processing, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance for corporate actions impacting Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process corporate action events (mandatory/voluntary) and ensure accurate entitlement postings within specified deadlines.
- Review and reconcile SWIFT messages and entitlements to guarantee data accuracy.
- Monitor and resolve reconciliation breaks and ensure all events meet market deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external custodians, brokers, and agents to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Respond to queries professionally and promptly.
- Support user acceptance testing and project-related tasks as required.
- Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, including due diligence, fair dealing, and internal controls.
Requirements:
- Degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in corporate actions or securities operations.
- Familiarity with SWIFT message processing (MT56x/54x) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of US restricted securities, tax reclaim processes, or bond restructuring is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
