Unit Production Supervisor

Overview of the Job:
The role is responsible for managing a production unit within the pastry and baking department. This involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient production schedules, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing day-to-day operations in the production unit to meet quality, quantity, and productivity targets.
• Supervising production team members and providing guidance on workflow optimization, resource allocation, and team performance monitoring.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, including adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining records of batch consistency checks.
Requirements:
• At least 8 years of experience in the pastry and baking industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role within a production environment.
• Strong expertise in batter mixing, moulding, shaping, baking, and layer cake assembly, as well as familiarity with recipe development and workflow troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to conduct QA checks, maintain batch consistency, and train junior staff effectively.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
• Relevant certifications such as Diploma in Pastry/Baking/Culinary Arts and Basic Food Hygiene Certification (WSQ) are advantageous.
