Team Lead, Risk Management
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the team in monitoring credit and market risks, implementing timely mitigation actions to minimize exposure.
Review and enhance risk management policies, frameworks, and system workflows in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Review and approve credit applications for retail, high-net-worth and institutional clients, ensuring consistency with internal risk appetite and credit policies.
Evaluate core business processes to identify potential risk exposures and recommend robust control measures.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and due diligence on new product launches and business initiatives, working closely with development teams to automate risk controls through system integration.
Provide risk advisory support to business units, embedding risk considerations into strategic and operational decision-making processes.
Liaise with auditors and respond to inquiries from external regulatory authorities, including MAS and SGX.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Over 10 years of experience in securities and derivatives risk management, preferably within a brokerage firm.
Strong proficiency in margin financing and derivatives products, including futures contracts, stocks & index options, and options on futures.
Comprehensive understanding of MAS and SGX regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with international markets such as the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and China Connect is a plus.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
