Senior UX Researchers have breadth and depth of research method skills applicable to a wide range of questions, with a track record of research success and organizational impact. The Senior UX Researcher integrates research into the work of colleagues to maximize impact and translate research into strategic assets. Qualifications: Masters Degree or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field. 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains. Expert in Quantitative research (log analysis, internal metrics triangulation, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts). Experience with Qualitative and user-centered design methods (interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing). Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research. Experience evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors. Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data. Strong critical thinking, storytelling, and communication skills (English). Enjoys collaborative work in a data-driven, creative environment. Responsibilities Conducts research end-to-end for high impact, guiding stakeholders to collaborate with research for their goals. Initiates research efforts aligned with Product Vertical goals and long-term business understanding. Formulates programmes of study and knowledge sharing aligned with strategic objectives. Leads cross-stakeholder projects and mentors others in research techniques. Evaluates pros and cons of various methodologies and ensures high-quality execution. Research Skills Evaluates research opportunities, including ambiguous requests, assessing importance, urgency, and impact. Manages, challenges, and shapes inbound research requests; proposes solid projects or programs. Executes projects with multiple methods, including mixed methods and innovative approaches. Deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and when to apply each. Deep domain/expertise in at least one area (e.g., Pricing) or user type, or method. Triangulates findings across methods to ensure depth of insight. Maximizes value of research via secondary research and expert inspection. Proficient with software tools for surveys, diary studies, analysis, etc.; applies the right tool to the problem. Knowledge of GDPR, data compliance and ethics in all activities. Communication & Collaboration Drives cross-discipline collaboration via research insights. Collaborates with other researchers and disciplines with shared ownership. Excellent communication tailored to different audiences; open to feedback. Contributes to standards of research excellence across the organization.
