Job Description
As a seasoned Culinary Professional, you will oversee the preparation and cooking of high-quality yakitori dishes. This includes grilling, skewering, and seasoning, ensuring optimal taste and presentation.
You will also be responsible for developing and refining the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
In addition, you will manage kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Training and mentoring kitchen staff is also an essential part of this role, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Lastly, you will monitor inventory, place orders for fresh ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste, all while collaborating with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth service and a top-tier guest experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Japanese Chef or similar role in a high-end Japanese restaurant.
- Expertise in yakitori grilling techniques and Japanese cuisine.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen.
- Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine, with a desire to innovate and perfect dishes.
