Job Description:
The Culinary Director is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and menu creation. They will lead a team of culinary professionals to ensure high-quality dishes are served consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop and refine menus, focusing on authentic Japanese yakitori techniques.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and ensure compliance with local food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Implement health and safety protocols and maintain equipment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary role.
- Proven track record of menu development and implementation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
