What the role is: This is a trainee position with the Digital Capabilities Team (DCT) at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), which is part of Civil Service College (CSC). The role focuses on creating impactful learning interventions to advance digital literacy across the Public Service. The trainee will assist in designing learning interventions that enhance digital capabilities, helping to shape how public officers develop essential digital skills for effective public service delivery. Through this role, they will develop competencies in instructional design and learning methodology application, stakeholder management and project coordination, as well as market research and trend analysis within the context of digital transformation in the public sector. What you will be working on: Learning Design & Development Design innovative learning interventions that strengthen digital capabilities across the Public Service. You will utilise diverse learning methodologies to create engaging, effective learning interventions that cater to different learning styles and organisational needs. You will also assess and monitor the impact and effectiveness of these learning interventions. Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams and government agencies to establish clear learning outcomes and co-develop high-quality learning materials, ensuring learning interventions meet real-world challenges and deliver value to participants and their organisations. Research & Analysis Contribute to market intelligence gathering and research to stay informed of emerging trends and future developments in the digital landscape. Your research will help identify new learning opportunities and ensure learning interventions remain current with evolving digital capabilities requirements across government. Working effectively with citizens and stakeholders: Ability to work and communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders. Learning Needs Analysis: Strong interest in current technology trends which includes artificial intelligence, programming, robotic process automation, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. Programme Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
