Who We Need
The Biomedical Technical Officer will assist BME Manager in carrying out day to day maintenance related activities of biomedical equipment under the department’s purview. He/ She is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the complete maintenance aspect of biomedical equipment within the hospital.
Respond to any complaints and perform maintenance of biomedical equipment from the wards and clinical department.
Maintain work order record of the equipment (Manual or Web based iLOG) for monitoring work order status and necessary follow-up.
Assist in commissioning of new medical equipment and in sending BME test equipment for calibration.
Ensure completion of preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Assist to put up quotation for approval for repair of biomedical equipment and purchase of spare parts.
Liaises and coordinates with suppliers, sub-contractors and users whenever required.
Performs any other duties as assigned by Manager.
How to Succeed
Preferably Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
At least 1 to 2 years experience and preferably in healthcare or medical electronics industry.
Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, agility and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance & engagement.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Basic computer hardware and network knowledge.
Willing to work On Call /Standby Duty after office hours or weekends and Public Holidays.
