Your day to day
voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a meticulous Housekeeping Coordinator to be part of our team. As Housekeeping Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the operations of our housekeeping team, ensuring smooth daily operations. You'll assign tasks to Room Attendants, dispatch House Attendants and Runners to fulfill guest requests, support the overall efficiency of the housekeeping department, while supporting the administrative requirements of the departments.
Our People
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments, including Front Office, Guest Services, Sales & Marketing, Revenue and Reservations, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage.
Prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitor attendance, and conduct labour planning to meet hotel activity levels while maintaining cost effectiveness.
Interact with outside contacts such as guests, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other organizations to ensure service quality, safety, and compliance.
Financial Returns
Assist in managing departmental labor and expenses, provide input into the annual departmental budget, and control expenses to minimize waste.
Prepare and submit various monthly reports including occupancy, cleanliness scores, maintenance, overtime, and attendance reports for outsourced contractors.
Ensure invoice accuracy in accordance with purchase requisitions.
Guest Experience
Manage the housekeeping extension and ensure timely attendance to service requests.
Interact with guests to understand their needs and handle inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
Monitor guest reviews and feedback related to housekeeping and take corrective actions as needed.
Responsible Business
Oversee daily room assignment for the Room Attendant team, including task sheets and special requests.
Maintain inventory of guest supplies, linens, cleaning supplies, and operating equipment.
Organize pest control, develop filing systems, liaise with laundry providers, and monitor cleaning programs.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, ensure safety and security, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
What You Bring
Post-secondary education; mature candidates or fresh graduates are welcome.
Experience in an international hotel chain is advantageous.
Attention to detail, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
