Professionals are responsible for identifying, analyzing, and relating business demands. Your responsibilities include aligning priorities, planning, and actions to the overall business objectives, involving business stakeholders. You will share and communicate knowledge and innovation, with knowledge of the fundamentals of the Semco business model and the value chain.

Assist the Project Manager / Lead Engineer in the smooth running and implementation of the project.

Main Tasks / Areas of Responsibility
  • Design of telecommunication systems (Radio Communication, Security, Navigation Aids, Wired Communication)
  • Preparation of drawings and specifications for procurement
  • Develop detailed system designs with diagrams and schematics
  • Selection of telecom equipment and development of bulk material listings
  • Provide input for reports, weight, equipment lists, fabrication, and installation
Main Principal Duties
  • Participate in all engineering phases: feasibility, concept, feed, detailed
  • Understand and interpret customer and authority requirements
  • Clarify design certification with customers and third parties
Minor Tasks / Areas of Responsibility
  • Participation in customer visits and technical project meetings
System Knowledge (must have experience in at least one category)
  • Radio Communication Systems: GMDSS, Microwave Radio, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio, Crane Radio, Radio Dispatch, Satellite Phone
  • Security Systems: Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, PABX (VoIP), Person On Board (POB)
  • Navigation Aids: Radar, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, and others
  • Wired Communication: PAGA, Page Party, Talk Back, and others
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or IT.

Personal Qualities: Experience in oil & gas, marine, shipyard, petrochemical, or power plant industries is a MUST. Ability to lead a telecom team, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, team-oriented attitude, excellent communication skills in English, and ability to work independently or in a team.
