This is a newly created headcount that will have coverage across a broad range of legal work from transactions to commercial contracts and will involve working closely with the head office on legal matters to facilitate business growth.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Deliver legal advice and support to business units (e.g., corporate banking, private banking, treasury, and markets) as well as internal support functions.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, terms, and other legal documentation.
Manage relationships with external counsel on matters such as leases, commercial agreements, transactions, and litigation.
Monitor and assess the performance of external counsel and help maintain an approved panel of legal service providers.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
5 years PQE in a law firm or in-house legal team, preferably within the financial services sector.
Treasury or loans product knowledge preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholders’ skills.
