Maintenance Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our maintenance operations, ensuring all systems, equipment, and facilities run efficiently, safely, and reliably. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage teams, vendors, and resources effectively.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Manage manpower planning, staffing needs, and team performance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor daily operations and maintain equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Control costs for labor, equipment, spare parts, and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all maintenance works.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and maintenance input for new projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in maintenance management or a related field.
  • A degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
  • A valid Class 3 driving license to operate company vehicles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
