Overview
Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational Teacher of Maths (Senior School) to join Cognita in partnership with Brighton College (Singapore). The incumbent will teach all aspects of the maths curriculum at Key Stage 3 and above in a leading all-through school. The successful candidate will shape the secondary curriculum and take ownership of the pupil experience in maths teaching at the secondary level.

What You Will Be Doing
Take responsibility for the teaching, progress and attainment of your taught classes in Years 7 to 12 from August 2026, and for all other senior year groups in following years.
Support curriculum planning and delivery, including preparation for Year 11 and 12 cohorts starting in August 2026. Promote excellence, creativity and innovation in all areas of the Maths curriculum.
Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
Be responsible for assessment, tracking and reporting for Maths in your taught classes.
Demonstrate the ability to teach Maths across relevant Key Stages (including IGCSE/GCSE and A-level); act as an outstanding classroom practitioner and lead by example.
Devise and implement rigorous self-evaluation processes.
Participate in the department’s extension and enrichment programme.
Support pupils’ applications to leading universities and provide guidance for future year groups.
Ensure opportunities for global Maths competitions with appropriate stretch and challenge.
Work with the Head of Maths, Heads of EAL and AEN to develop pathways for pupils needing additional support.
Collaborate with senior leaders to support a smooth transition across key stages and curriculum development.
Contribute to the development and refinement of KS3/4/5 curriculum and department documentation for current and prospective parents.
Contribute to safeguarding, pastoral systems, and act as a tutor for a Senior School year group.
Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
Any other reasonable management request.
Who We Are Looking For
The Teacher of Maths reports to the Deputy Head Academic and will deliver Maths across Key Stages 3/4/5, with a strong track record of GCSE/IGCSE and A-level results.
We seek someone excited by joining a new department and developing an innovative and intellectually stimulating Maths curriculum, aligned with our aim of developing well-educated, respectful and curious students.
Bachelor’s degree in Maths (or related field) with PGCE or equivalent.
Expert knowledge/experience in delivering GCSEs/IGCSEs and A-levels.
Embodies Brighton College (Singapore) values of Curiosity, Confidence and Kindness.
International outlook and experience working in diverse environments (preferred).
