Software Engineer (Application Support – Java)
We are seeking an
Application Support Engineer
to provide day-to-day operational and infrastructure support for a data-intensive analytics platform.
This role involves production support, end-user support, and Java backend (L2/L3) application support, ensuring platform stability, performance, and seamless business operations.
Responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 support for Java-based backend applications
Manage day-to-day operations and infrastructure support of the analytics platform
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Handle incidents, service requests, and provide end-user support
Collaborate with development teams to analyze root causes and implement fixes/enhancements
Support production releases, deployments, and configuration changes
Maintain documentation of support procedures, incidents, and resolutions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in application/production support
Strong background in Java backend
Experience in Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and infrastructure support
Familiarity with monitoring tools, incident management, and ITIL processes
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
Experience supporting data-intensive or analytics platforms
