STUDENT CARE ASSISTANT - PART TIME
Qualifications
Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Basic first aid certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist in supervising students during daily activities, including homework time, meals, and playtime.
Ensure students' safety and well-being by maintaining a safe and structured environment.
Provide assistance to students in completing homework and other educational tasks.
Support the execution of enrichment activities, including games, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
Engage students in group and individual activities to promote social and emotional development.
Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and promote positive student behaviour.
Help address minor behavioural issues in alignment with the centre’s guidelines.
Communicate with parents during drop-off and pick-up times, providing brief updates on their child’s progress and activities.
Assist the Student Care Supervisor in coordinating information between parents, students, and staff.
Help prepare and organize snacks, materials, and resources needed for daily activities.
Ensure the student care area is clean and well-maintained at all times.
Support the team in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Observe and report any incidents, accidents, or injuries to the Student Care Supervisor promptly.
Assist in completing necessary incident reports and documentation.
