Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ship Engineer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and auxiliary equipment on ships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engine Knowledge: You should have extensive knowledge of slow speed engines and experience with medium and high speed diesel engines would be an added advantage.
  • Leadership Attributes: Good leadership qualities, ability to lead a team of technicians to achieve tasks assigned by management.
  • Technical Skills: Independently perform inspection, installation (including engine alignment), repair, upgrading, troubleshooting, and overhaul of diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, ship owners' representatives, Class inspectors, and sub-contractors through email and phone arrangements.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively as required by the job.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare hand-written work done reports, data recorded as per format templates, and service reports with photos upon completion of jobs.
