**Job Description**

As a senior engineer in the shipyard, you will play a vital role in supporting commercial newbuilding and ship repair teams. Your expertise will be utilized to develop basic design concepts, review contracts and technical documentation, and ensure compliance with design requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering or naval architecture, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry. They must also possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interpret technical specifications and engage in discussions with clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering support and collaborating with the marketing team to retain existing clients and secure new ones within the shipbuilding division;
  • Supporting commercial newbuilding and ship repair teams during tender exercises for newbuilding and conversion projects;
  • Reviewing contracts, technical documentation, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements;
  • Developing basic design concepts in line with newbuilding tenders;
  • Preparing drawing schedules and coordinating technical meetings with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and system integrators;
  • Implementing newbuilding design and executing engineering production plans for awarded projects;
**Required Skills and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the marine or offshore industry;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD;
  • Solid understanding of shipbuilding processes and project workflows, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and engage in discussions with clients;
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills;
