Job Title: Preschool Chef

Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Chef to join our team, responsible for planning and preparing healthy meals, snacks, and beverages for children.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare centres or hospitality, with a strong understanding of child nutrition and food safety.
  • They will be able to cook efficiently for large groups and maintain high hygiene standards during food preparation, handling, and serving.
  • In addition to culinary skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management abilities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about cooking and working with children, and has a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • Experience: Prior experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety
    • Ability to cook efficiently for large groups
    • Strong sense of cleanliness, responsibility, and organization
  • Language Proficiency: Able to communicate in English
