The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities. Professor Lim Kah Leong is a renowned scientist in the areas of neuroscience and mental health, particularly in the field of Parkinson’s Disease. With a long-term goal to elucidate the molecular events underlying Parkinson’s Disease and to effectively treat the disease, his research centres on mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration, which will reveal targets for neuroprotection. He is also developing new research technologies in the area of stem cells and neurorestoration as well as in diagnostics and neurotechnology, where he collaborates extensively with chemists, materials scientists and engineers. His laboratory uses a broad range of disease models including Drosophila, rodents, human neurons and brain organoids generated from patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells and non-human primates (marmosets). Our lab is looking for a motivated and self-driven research associate/assistant with keen interest in Neuroscience capable of supporting the PI all research administration and lab management matters. Key Responsibilities Grants management which includes virements, progress reports, budget, ethics, patents, assisting PI with new grant proposals etc Procurement of lab reagents and budget management of expenses across grants. Coordination and management of all lab ethics documents eg IACUC, IRB, MOH TIARAS for rHBR studies which includes amendments, extensions, annual reviews/progress report, regular updating of animal numbers on ERMP, preparing new ethics documents and etc. Scheduling of weekly lab meetings and monthly journal updates Managing and organizing of lab events Any other lab administration required by PI. Job Requirements Bachelor’s or Master's degree At least 10 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in specific scope Familiarity with required scope (e.g. national codes and standards)Good written and oral communication skills Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. specific programming languages, numeric and analytical skill Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
