KONE SEA is expanding, and we are seeking a Technical Support Specialist for Non-KONE Product (Elevator & Escalator)to join our team in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand. The Senior Technical Support Specialist is the first point of contact for technical queries and provides remote technical support during the maintenance phase of non-KONE products. They support maintenance technicians in resolving technical issues and ensure products are maintained in compliance with KONE’s safety, process and quality requirements. They are experts in non-KONE products and solutions and report to the Technical Helpdesk Troubleshooter, KSEA. What will you be doing?Provide remote or on-site technical support for maintenance troubleshooting, drive commissioning, and parameter programming in consultation with Non-KONE Equipment (NKE) networks or NKE Global teams – Lifts and Escalators. Support Non-KONE Equipment (NKE) site surveys for new portfolio acquisitions to SER Supervisors or THD Engineer (activities include circuit diagrams, tools, critical equipment checks, spare part availability, drive types, and learning for accurate maintenance cost estimation). Jointly set up, manage, and improve standards and procedures with the THD team in relation to NKE. Coordinate needed competence development in the field organization related to new technologies. Integration and conversion of site activity from NKE to KONE Controllers in Modernization projects. Experience in commissioning other lifts: complete testing and commissioning of lift and people flow solutions. Training Train local technicians (within KSEA) during site visits and/or deliver scheduled training sessions for Non-KONE Equipment (NKE) topics. Collaborate with local training centers on training courses and provide expertise. Conduct NKE expert assessments for KONE employees who joined from other lift makers. Provide input to L&D about competency development needs in the field team. Quality Create quality reports in THD tool after remote support and/or site visits, listing issues requiring corrective actions. Identify root causes proactively and forward corrective actions according to KONE process requirements (e.g., trainings, guidelines, field letters). COR review / identify units for clinical visits. Safety Be aware of and operate within KONE safety requirements. Are you the one?Technical experience from the elevator & escalator industries with minimum 4 years. Proven spare parts project implementation and change management experience (minimum 3 years). Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering. Fluent in English; other languages are an asset. IT literacy. Willing to travel. Technical understanding of elevators/escalators/doors spare parts where applicable to non-KONE products.
