Redefining the Third Age in Singapore
(COR2620), AY Term 2. The course explores the impact of an ageing population on society, and in particular the emerging cohort of Singaporeans in their Third Age. The notion of the third age was introduced by gerontologists as it became clear that the discourse on ageing covers a heterogeneous group of individuals who may be of the same age chronologically, but who in terms of personal characteristics and life experience are quite different.

The positions are open to scholars in the humanities and social sciences, including, but not exclusive to, the fields of anthropology, geography, history, literature, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology. The successful candidate would be employed under a contract of service (Adjunct) appointment on a term basis. Candidates must have a doctorate in a relevant discipline by the date of appointment and a track record in excellent teaching and scholarly research.
Qualifications
Doctorate in a relevant discipline by the date of appointment
Track record in excellent teaching and scholarly research
Experience teaching at the tertiary level
Fields include humanities and social sciences such as anthropology, geography, history, literature, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology
Responsibilities
Teach the undergraduate course
Redefining the Third Age in Singapore
(COR2620) for AY Term 2
Contribute to course planning, assessment, and student feedback; maintain course quality and standards
