Coordinating Sales Merchandiser

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented Coordinating Sales Merchandiser to ensure APD Pharma products are well presented and stocked at key retail outlets across Singapore. This role is essential in maintaining product visibility, driving in-store promotions, and supporting sales activities in coordination with the sales and branding teams.

Key Responsibilities

Outlet Execution & Stock Management

• Visit assigned retail outlets (NTUC FairPrice, Unity stores/pharmacies) regularly to inspect product placement and stock availability.
• Ensure proper shelf arrangement, price tags, and labeling according to brand guidelines and planograms.
• Monitor stock levels at each outlet and promptly inform FairPrice store team for ordering replenishment stocks via their internal system when quantities are low.
• Ensure proper stock rotation (First In, First Out) to prevent expiry or wastage.

Promoter (Wet Samplings)

• Prepare wet sampling in store to promote and sell to walk-in customers.
• Install and set-up portable booth daily at stationed outlet.
• Support store marketing campaigns or events

Reporting & Market Insight

• Submit regular store visit reports with photos, stock status, and display conditions.
• Track competitor displays, pricing, and promotional activities and share insights.
• Maintain a log of store feedback, challenges, or improvements needed.

Store Relationship & Communication

• Build rapport with outlet staff, supervisors, and category team members.
• Serve as the on-ground contact and makesure promotions and stocks are in place in a timely manner for campaigns and activities.
• Support ad hoc promotional or sampling activities with the sales or marketing team when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School
• At least 1+ year experience in merchandising, retail operations, or field support (FMCG/pharma/healthcare preferred).
• Experienced as a sales promoter, and can interact and communicate with customers.
• Familiar with supermarket and pharmacy retail chains like NTUC FairPrice, Unity, Guardian, Watsons.
• Physically active and comfortable with frequent travel between store locations.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working independently.
• Able to use mobile devices for basic reporting or photo submission.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Base Salary: $1,600–$2,000/month (based on experience)
• Allowance: Transport allowances $200
• Commission: Up to $1,000

Role Overview

The Sales Merchandiser will play a vital role in ensuring excellent product visibility, execution, and in-store support across assigned outlets. This role also involves being as a promoter, coordinating schedules, and working closely with store team leaders/supervisors to drive sales performance and customer engagement. This is a Hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all product displays, shelves, and promotional materials are well-stocked, neat, and aligned with brand standards.
• Function as a sales promoter
• Conduct regular store visits to audit merchandising standards and gather market insights.
• Manage and assign promoters to various outlets based on store needs and campaign priorities.
• Coordinate with outlet team leaders and supervisors to ensure smooth execution of in-store promotions and events.
• Monitor sales performance at assigned outlets and provide feedback for improvement.
• Track inventory levels, product replenishment, and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
• Support trade marketing initiatives and provide feedback on effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, sales, or promoter coordination (FMCG or healthcare industry preferred).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with promoters and outlet supervisors.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Ability to travel across assigned FairPrice and Unity outlets.
