Technical Specialist

You shall play an integral role in ensuring a robust and resilient network infrastructure, in enabling cutting-edge scientific research collaborations and network technology demonstrations between the Research and Education communities in Singapore and their international partners.
SingAREN shall support and provide the necessary training for you to realise your potential and for carrying out your duties.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you shall:
● Engage with members' organisations to assist with network connectivity
● Provide technical support for Science DMZ and Data Lake development
● Manage the authorisation and access infrastructure set-up and support
● Provide server/network implementation and maintenance
Requirements
● Degree in Computer Engineering or Science, or a relevant field. Polytechnic Diploma holders in Computer Engineering with related skillsets would also be considered.
● Familiar with Linux, with knowledge of container-based systems (e.g Docker)
● Familiar with basic Networking Concepts
● Possess Programming knowledge (e.g. Python)
● Knowledge and experience on Application development would be beneficial
● A team player with strong communication skills.
● Possess a pro-active mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills
