We are seeking a technically driven Application Engineer to join our Automation Team. This mid-level role focuses on either Industrial Networking or Functional Safety Solutions, with future opportunities to expand into other Phoenix Contact product lines. RESPONSIBILITIES To be the Subject Matter Expert for either Industrial Networking Products: Network Switches, Wireless, Interface Converters Functional Safety Systems: Safety Relay, Safety Control, Signal Conditioners Collaborate with Sales or Business Development Team to conduct joint customer visits, site assessments, and technical presentations on the selection, installation, configuration, and operation of our electrical products. Work closely with regional sales subsidiaries and assist with generating sales & marketing enablement collaterals not limited to demos, white papers, short videos etc. Design and develop Phoenix Contact product-mix solutions and systems with market‐oriented value propositions to address market and customers' demands, needs and pain points. Provide timely accurate application and technical support to the region sales subsidiaries and customers for product related topics. Conduct multi‐tier product and solution training to different audience segments. Support marketing activities in seminars, trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events, including designing and/or revamping of products static and active displays. Work effectively as part of a team to achieve individual, team and departmental objectives, sharing knowledge and skills as appropriate. REQUIREMENT Minimum Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation or related field). Experience and understanding of industrial networking (e.g., managed switches, VPN, Wi‐Fi, interface converters) or functional safety systems (safety relay, safety control, signal conditioners). Strong passion for automation systems and electrical products. Good presentation skill and fluent in English, both oral and written. Conversational proficiency in Japanese is required to support regional collaboration. Proficient with Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Problem solver, customer‐driven and results‐oriented. Organized, persistent, proactive and must be a good team player.
