Animal Rehabilitation Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Administer customised treatment programs that include hands-on therapeutic modalities such as therapeutic exercises, massage, hydrotherapy, and other applicable therapies based on the animal's condition and therapy plan.
  • Help to conduct thorough evaluations of animal health status and physical condition, identifying suitable therapy plans.
  • Clearly explain treatment plans, progress, and home-care routines to pet owners.
  • Work closely with our team of veterinarians to ensure the best outcome for our patients.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in animal rehabilitation therapy to provide the best care possible.
  • Ensure all therapy equipment is well-maintained, safe, and clean.
  • Build and nurture relationships with pet owners, prioritising their pets' health and well-being.

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Physiotherapy, Veterinary Nursing, Animal Physiotherapy or Animal Science from a recognised institution. This solid foundation is crucial for the complex and rewarding work we do here.
  • Min Years of working experience, Prior work experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or similar environment. This will ensure you're ready to handle the diverse range of cases we see at our clinic.
  • Additional certifications in animal rehabilitation or related fields, such as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and/or Canine Hydrotherapy Certification is a plus.
