About the Team The Global Legal team provides legal advice and guidance to OKX and its affiliated entities across all coverage areas and geographic locations, and supports business growth by working with all teams within the company to help them achieve their goals. Our team has attorneys around the world, and handles legal matters in literally hundreds of countries across the globe. About the Opportunity As the Deputy General Counsel leading the Trading and Markets Practice Group, you will work closely with all members of the Global Legal team and business leaders throughout the company. You will sit with the trading teams located in Hong Kong, acting as a desk coverage lawyer, and support global trading activities. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting the trading operations located in Hong Kong. This role will be the primary legal point of contact for the trading team, and will be dedicated to providing legal support and guidance relating to OKX's trading functions; Analyzing and advising on the legal risk of new and existing digital assets and managing the legal component of the new asset review process; Collaborating with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide projects and goals; and Managing legal requests from all areas of the business and effectively advising on legal concepts and legal risk with an eye towards the strategic goals of business leaders. What We Look For In You Qualified to practice law in Hong Kong, or other common law jurisdiction, and a resident of Hong Kong; 12+ years of investment banking or sales and trading experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team; Experience supporting trading and/or market-making operations; Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage and multi-cultural environment; Ability to effectively advise and build trust with business teams; Ability to navigate through a rapidly-changing legal landscape and deal with legal ambiguity; and Ability to work in a high-functioning legal team and feel comfortable in a collaborative working environment. Nice to Haves Experience advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology legal issues (or strong interest and knowledge in the field) and have a basic understanding about the relevant legal and regulatory landscape; Experience working on cross-jurisdictional matters and a global legal team; and Experience working on financial services and trading regulatory matters in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, and/or the European Union.
