Wood Products Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Wood Products Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in producing wooden crates, pallets, and other container products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate wooden cutting machines to produce high-quality products
  • Lead teams of workers to complete production plans on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Carpentry skills: Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plywood, and other materials is essential
  • Tool proficiency: Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools (like hammers, saws, drills) and power tools (like power saws, drills)
  • Wood knowledge: Understanding of different types of wood and their properties, as well as how they behave under different conditions
  • Blueprint reading: Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications
  • Material handling: Experience with handling materials, including loading and unloading, and potentially operating equipment like forklifts
  • Assembly: Ability to assemble wooden crates and containers according to specifications
  • Safety awareness: Strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols
