We are looking for suitable candidate who are passionate in supporting the organisation's objective in levelling up the competency of the security industry and Home Team officers in the areas of protective security. The candidate will be forward deployed to the Centre for Protective Security (CPS), which is a department under the Singapore Police Force within the Protective and Security and Safety (PSS) CoE. What you would be doing: Responsible for reviewing protective security works related to Protective Security Technologies (Video Surveillance System, Electronic Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, Physical Screening & Detection Technologies) in support of Security-By-Design (SBD) process under Infrastructure Protection Act (IPA). Provide technical advisory and consultancy to Home Team Departments and Home-front agencies on security issues related to Protective Security Technologies and mitigation measures. Carry out technical studies to establish and enhance Protective Security Technologies standards and guidelines. Develop course content and serve as adjunct trainer for Protective Security Technologies related courses conducted by CPS. What are we looking for: Tertiary engineering degree in Architecture, Engineering, Science or Estate/Facilities management or any related discipline. Preferably with at least two years' working experience in security-related industry. Knowledge of protective security, particularly in Protective Security Technologies. Strong interest in counter-terrorism and homeland security. Resilient and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Strong communication and writing skills. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to engage people at all levels and be able to work independently. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
