Service Engineer (Retrofit for Chiller/ACMV/5K)

Responsibilities
• \tPerform project design (including selection and sizing of equipment) and development activities according to customer specification / convince existing plant to change new chillers
• \tUnderstand scope of HVAC work to bid
• \tPerform site surveys, site measurements, attend pre-bid walkthrough if need be
• \tAttend tender clarifications/interview as and when required
• \tWork with Manager in developing project plan, budget and schedule
• \tCoordinate with Sales/Customer Consultants/management in preparing project proposals, tender submission/clarifications and contractual documents
• \tWork and coordinate with sales/customer consultants to create quotations and follow up for service retrofit job opportunities to customer
• \tTrack project progress regularly and develop status reports to management
• \tInteract with the sales/customer consultants and management to ensure all projects are performed within/under allocated budget, timelines and according to plans and specification
• \tDevelop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity
• \tSource/liaise/negotiate with suppliers and vendors on quotations and requirements
• \tCompile supplier quotation, assessment of quotations and prepare costing sheet
• \tMaintain good relationships with subcontractors/vendors/clients
• \tMaintain estimating logs and unit costs for all projects
• \tDetermine Bill of Quantity
• \tAny other duties as deemed appropriate
Requirements
• \tDegree/Diploma in Engineering/Building
• \tMust have working Experience in HVAC/ACMV industry
• \tKnowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components
• \tAbility to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and other construction documents
• \tKnowledge of commercial HVAC/Mechanical Contracting
• \tMin 2-3 years relevant experience
• \tAble to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• \tOutstanding communication and negotiation skills
• \tDeadline and detail-oriented
• \tKnowledge/Experience in project management will be value added
