Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our laboratory's accreditation and quality management system through effective equipment management, metrological traceability, and quality assurance/control of laboratory processes and testing. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality team and Laboratory Operations Manager to achieve and maintain ISO/IEC accreditation, demonstrating our technical competency and commitment to providing consistently valid results.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Monitoring & Equipment Management
Monitor lab conditions to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Assist in laboratory equipment commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Plan, coordinate and perform calibration, troubleshoot equipment performance issues, as well as liaising with external service providers.
Proficiency Testing
Assist in coordinating proficiency testing programs.
Collate data for analysis and support Quality Engineers with test result analysis and corrective actions.
Documentation & Traceability
Develop methods and author procedures for calibration and verification activities.
Ensure all quality-related documents, especially equipment calibration procedures and records, are accurate and up to date.
QAQC Process Flow
Implement quality assurance procedures and the quality management system in compliance with ISO/IEC .
Perform internal audits, address non-conformities, and support the lab in maintaining accreditation status while adhering to QHSSE and technical requirements.
Training & Development
Conduct training sessions for equipment management and calibration procedures.
Provide continuous feedback and support to quality team members.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide feedback on potential improvements to laboratory processes.
