We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team in the role of Insurance Broker. As an Insurance Broker, you will play a key part in delivering tailored insurance solutions to clients across various industries.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to think and react quickly in challenging situations. They will also have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive client and broking documents.
  • Negotiate with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage, and price.
  • Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements.
  • Attend client meetings, conferences, or industry events locally or overseas when required.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and support relationship-building with clients and underwriters.
  • Ensure up-to-date records are maintained at all times on our systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing accounts post-placement through to the invoice team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be expected to manage relationships with operations teams and achieve processing KPIs in accordance with group practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in insurance, broking, or client servicing is essential.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • A high level of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and professionalism are required.
  • Ability to think and react quickly in challenging situations and negotiations.
