Roles & Responsibilities We invite highly passionate individuals who share the dream for our girls to join us as: Assistant Head, English Language (Full-Time) Reporting to the Head of English Language & Literature, you will be responsible for all delegated duties related to Planning & Strategic Development, Academic Leadership and People Resource Planning & Development. You are expected to assist in professional and administrative matters concerning the department and support the professional development of teachers through dedicated coaching and mentoring. Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement a comprehensive curriculum and instructional programme that develops grounding in disciplines and encourages integration of knowledge. Oversee the effective teaching of the subject in the school and the effective conduct of assessments on the subject. Develop and adapt effective teaching and pedagogy strategies for the subject to increase learning effectiveness (e.g. remedial and enrichment activities for students, etc). Prepare organize suitable teaching/learning resources (e.g. textbooks, supplementary material, etc) in collaboration with department teachers. Ensure rigorous assessment design principles are employed during assessment vetting processes and examination report writing. Monitor students’ academic performance in subject to ensure high performance and learning standards. Enhance the professional effectiveness of teachers through dedicated coaching and mentoring. Support the development, utilization and evaluation of full potential of teachers in the department via training and professional upgrading plans. Assist with assigned responsibilities as mentors or leads in school-wide organizing committees. Requirements: A good Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is required with relevant teaching qualifications. Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant teaching experience. Interpersonal Skills, Management Skills, Effective Communication and Curriculum Leadership.
