Job Title:

Imaging Specialist

Job Description:

As an Imaging Specialist, you will provide imaging services to patients as requested by referring physicians or as allowed by statutory regulations and according to acceptable standards.

Ensuring familiarization of use and correct handling of imaging equipment is crucial to avoid incorrect equipment usage. You will also be responsible for understanding and performing quality control activities to ensure that radiology medical equipment are functioning according to specifications.

Working closely with nurses and support staff is essential to ensure patient care is met. Providing quality customer service to patients and ensuring compliance of radiology safety policy are also key aspects of this role.

You will perform ultrasound in different parts of the body, working to deliver high-quality results while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sonography / Radiography / Medical Imaging Science related
  • Ability to work towards transitioning to a Radigrapher role within two years
  • Fully registered with AHPC
  • Prior experience in the public healthcare sector preferred
