The position based in Kolhapur Location JB 10 does not provide accommodation. As a Safety Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure adherence to all safety instructions in coordination with department HODs to prevent any accidents in the factory premises. You will be analyzing reasons behind accidents and incidents and planning preventive and corrective actions in coordination with the concerned department HODs. It is crucial to implement audit findings to develop a safe and secure work environment and spread awareness regarding safety amongst employees through coordinating safety-related training. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all safety-related statutory requirements in the factory and review documentation related to ISO 9000, 14000, and OHSAS 18000 systems.The production facility poses challenges as it consists of many old machines that are prone to breakdowns. The processing routes are frequently altered as per customer requirements, necessitating monitoring of old machines to ensure proper functioning under different conditions. With a mix of old and new machines, excellence in working with all machines is essential. Overcoming resistance to adopt new work culture and systems/practices among older workmen is another challenge that requires continuous enforcement for successful implementation.Key Result Areas:1. To ensure adherence to all safety instructions in coordination with department HODs to prevent accidents.2. To analyze reasons behind accidents and incidents and plan preventive and corrective actions.3. To implement audit findings for a safe work environment.4. To spread safety awareness through coordinating safety training.5. To ensure compliance with safety-related statutory requirements and review ISO documentation.Your actions will involve advising departments on safety measures, conducting job safety analysis, investigating accidents, and recommending preventive measures. You will also design and conduct safety training programs, organize safety-related activities, implement statutory compliance, maintain liaison with relevant authorities, and conduct internal audits. Monitoring closure and corrective actions for non-conformities during audits will be part of your responsibilities.,
