Technical Director, Assurance

We’re looking for a highly experienced Technical Director to join our Assurance leadership team. This is a pivotal role for a professional who enjoys navigating complex accounting and auditing matters, shaping firm policies, and driving audit quality across the practice. You’ll act as the firm’s key technical resource — providing authoritative guidance on Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS / SFRS(I)) , Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) , and related ACRA and ISCA requirements. Key Responsibilities Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert on SFRS(I), SSA, and relevant regulatory requirements. Provide timely, practical technical consultations to partners and engagement teams. Develop, maintain, and implement the firm’s audit methodology, templates, and technical manuals. Review complex or high-risk engagements to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies. Monitor regulatory and standard-setting developments; interpret and communicate their impact across the firm. Support internal and external audit quality inspections (including ACRA Practice Monitoring Program). Design and deliver technical and professional development training. Contribute to firm publications, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership initiatives. Collaborate with firm leadership to promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Requirements Professional Qualification: Member of ISCA , ICAEW , ACCA , CPA Australia , or equivalent. Experience: At least 10–15 years in audit and technical role, with solid exposure to complex technical issues and regulatory frameworks. Technical Expertise Deep understanding of SFRS(I) , SSA , and ACRA’s regulatory expectations. Proven ability to resolve complex accounting and auditing issues. Experience in technical consultation or audit quality roles preferred. Soft Skills Excellent analytical and communication skills. Strong professional judgment and problem-solving ability. Collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
