Overview Join to apply for the LIBRARIAN TEACHER (DETACHE CONTRACT)role at International French School (Singapore)Starting date: end of August 2026Location: Geylang, Central Singapore Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Vice Principal, the Librarian will have to: provide secondary school students and teachers with general or specialized books and documentation to meet their information, training, or recreational needs Ensure the functioning of the 3C (CDI)Identify, advise and guide students, teachers and adults in their requests and needs Manage budget and inventory Organize the processing of information: record, analyze, classify, index, in a manual or computerized system facilitating research and consultation Train students in media and information education Set up daily activities in collaboration with teachers and the documentation teacher to promote reading Loan management (including internal loan management, reading lights and laptops) and book equipment Manage, supply and enrich the documentary collection and make it available (Internet)Carry out, on request, research or studies on specific subjects Information and documentary monitoring (RSS feed)Contribute to the social, cultural and civic education of students and to this end set up partnerships aimed at opening up the school and 3C to its environment Skills, ability and required qualification French Ministry of Education degree holder or equivalent Bachelor's or master's degree related to information and documentation sciences Experience in schools or in the library/media network (cultural animation, promotion of reading) would be highly appreciated Knowledge of library science Ability to adapt to the needs of students aged 12 to 18Fluency in French and English Good knowledge of library management software and mastery of new technologies Good communication skills with students and the teaching team Participation in interdisciplinary projects Team spirit Rigour in the information management method Team management Working conditions Full time (27 hours/week) - 1 position SV (potentially vacant)Remuneration will be based on company salary scale Starting date: end of August 2026Application and equal opportunity To ensure your application is considered, please complete and attach to your application the application file which you can find enclosed here or on the AEFE website under the section "personnels / recrutement des detaches sur missions d'enseignement, d'éducation et d'administration / conditions et modalités de candidature"At the International French School, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where all employees are valued, respected, and empowered.
