Principal Systems Validation Engineer

Responsibilities MaxLinear Singapore is seeking a Principal Systems Validation Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for system validation for highly parallel next generation hardware accelerator SoCs for Home Router & Gateway Product. You will contribute to full life-cycle product development on emulation platforms and system reference design and validation. In this role, your focus will be: Perform pre-silicon and post-silicon system validation for System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms Lead pre-silicon design validation using emulation and prototyping platforms Define the SoC verification strategy, including test case development, test plan creation, and execution Drive system-level validation and ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with system requirements Develop test programs and automated test scripts to streamline validation processes Debug complex system issues and lead hardware/software/firmware co-verification efforts Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff Qualifications Bachelor Degree or Master's and above in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field with at least 12 years or above of working experience in Embedded SoC System development field and SoC System/Electrical Validation Experienced with Verification of SoC in emulation and prototyping environment & verification techniques Experienced with system validation in complex SoC (System on Chip) environment Familiar with system board and usage of lab equipment like Oscilloscope and Logic analyzer Good understanding in network protocol in ethernet, IP & Routing Ability to use methodological approaches to solve highly complex problems. Knowledge of one or more of the following: Microcontrollers (ARM, ARC), DSP, SoC, hardware bring-up, emulation and FPGA platform Experience of C/C++ Programming and other test script development languages Strong expertise in the networking domain is highly preferred Hands-on experience with network testing tools such as Spirent TestCenter, Ixia, or similar platforms Solid understanding of SoC architecture and fundamental design principles Familiarity with the SoC development lifecycle, including a working knowledge of RTL design and verification methodologies Strong communication and collaboration skills Team player, proactive and sef-motivated Company Overview MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
