Job Description
MISSION
The teacher's main mission is to help students acquire fundamental knowledge and skills, guide them in mastering subject-specific learning, and foster their curiosity about the world around them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Technology at middle school and high school levels
Teach the elective course in Digital Technology and Computer Science
Design and implement learning and teaching situations in line with French curricula and standards
Deliver subject-specific knowledge
Develop and apply methods for assessing student progress, in collaboration with fellow teachers and/or professional partners
Build student competencies, including knowledge, skills, and attitudes
Manage classroom dynamics while fostering student interest and participation
Provide personalized support to students, liaising with families and contributing to their educational and career guidance
Contribute to the school's operations and collaborative team efforts
Adapt teaching to student diversity, providing tailored support and monitoring progress
Integrate information and communication technologies to enhance learning
Carry out specific functions (e.g., coordination, homeroom teacher, etc.)
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Certification from the French Ministry of Education or equivalent profile
Strong mastery of the subject area and related options
Experience teaching at the secondary level (middle and high school)
Familiarity with the French educational system
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Responsiveness and availability
Adaptability and a caring approach
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to projects
Experience as a homeroom teacher, coordinator, and/or student guidance advisor is an asset
Proficiency with digital tools
Ability to adapt teaching to non-French-speaking students
Ability to teach in diverse classroom settings
Capacity to work in a cross-disciplinary and collaborative environment
English proficiency (B1 level or higher) is an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
Fixed-term contract (1 year)
Full-time position (18 hours/week)
Salary based on degree, experience, and IFS salary scale
