This role will join top customer pursuit teams to help win the customer’s security and technical decision to select Veeam for their data protection needs. This role will be the regional cyber security expert and be engaged in the largest, most complicated customer scenarios. The role will complement the existing technical pre-sales organization to be the L400 technical resource on cybersecurity. The role will partner with the Account Executive and the Solution Consultant / Engineer to present Veeam’s point of view on security as well as assess opportunities for the customer to improve security standards. In addition to engaging with customers, this role will be responsible to collaborate with Veeam’s product marketing and competitive intelligence teams to produce enhanced playbooks to win the security discussion as well as Veeam’s response to competitor value props. This role will likely engage and present at Veeam customer and partner events to articulate learnings and best practices in cyber security, data protection and recovery. Finally, this role will regularly engage with Veeam product management and engineering to provide the voice of the customer perspective on security capabilities and needs that will accelerate sales. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a combination of these skills and experiences: 12-20 years of experience across multiple cyber security disciplines and technical expertise Has served in senior security roles, ideally such as: a partner at InfoSec consultancies, managing directors at large consulting firms running the security practice, security cloud architects or as CISO or deputy / divisional CISO Deep understanding of regulations and norms established in APJ regarding cybersecurity, as well as international data privacy, data sovereignty, data protection agreements, and industry security standards (e.g., PDPA, NIS2, GDPR, etc.) Ideally has published articles and whitepapers in major InfoSec journals and also keynote speaker at industry events on InfoSec topics Deep understanding of current cybersecurity threats and modern security technologies, methodologies, applications, and processes including OWASP, DAST, SAST, SCA, WAF security, API security, pen testing. Deep understanding of business process, role design, checks and balances in IT operations to make security a way of doing business Experience performing technical architecture assessments to identify gaps or potential threat-vectors Certifications in Information Security, e.g., GSEC, GISP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or other security relevant accreditations Experience in delivering product security in one or more public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP) Experience in securely operating highly distributed systems with published SLAs Additional Requirements Ability to hold business-level discussions in English, and Mandarin or Japanese a plus Ability to travel up to 70% Bachelor's or advanced degree in a field of study related to Computer Science, Information Security, and Information Systems Veeam Software is an equal opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination in any form on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state or local law.
