This is a key opportunity for an experienced service operations professional to join a global technology company specializing in precision analytical instrumentation . The Regional Technical Service Manager will be responsible for regional service delivery, customer support performance, and distributor engagement across Asia.
The role involves managing equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and repair activities for high-end systems used in scientific research, manufacturing quality control, and industrial applications . The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a cross-cultural environment with regional responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Strategy & Operations
- Define and execute regional service strategies aligned with commercial and operational goals.
- Oversee installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of high-precision analytical instruments.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure effective resolution of technical issues and quality claims.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Inventory Control
- Lead the preparation of service budgets, forecasts, and operational reports.
- Monitor and optimize service parts inventory and procurement alignment.
- Ensure timely availability of critical components to support regional service continuity.
- Customer & Partner Engagement
- Address and resolve service-related concerns from customers and channel partners.
- Strengthen collaboration with distributors and field teams across Asia.
- Support customer acceptance processes and uphold service quality standards.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor a team of service engineers.
- Facilitate service knowledge sharing and technical training.
- Build a coordinated regional service network to enhance market reputation and support delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ technical service experience, including 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Hands-on expertise in analog electronics, high-voltage circuitry, vacuum systems, or capital equipment.
- Proficient in Excel and service reporting; able to work closely with finance and supply chain teams.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional Asian language(s) a plus.
- Willing to travel regionally up to 50%.
- Lead Regional Service Operations: Own service execution and customer support across a multi-country distributor and client landscape.
- Support High-Precision Technology: Play a key role in maintaining the uptime and quality of systems critical to scientific and industrial users.
- Drive Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty: Partner with commercial and technical teams to build a consistent and reliable service experience.
