YOUR ROLE

Be ST's competent, accountable, skilled and experienced Front End (FE) Purchasing Director for China and Japan to play a critical role in sourcing and acquiring equipment and spare parts from Chinese sources for all ST FE fabs while leading strategic relationships with Japanese supply base.

Be FE Equipment, Spares and services accountable person to lead the interaction with Chinese JV and support ST teams on the subject on site.

Strive to create sustainable value by integrating and managing external partners with the aim to generate competitive advantages for a sustainable growth in business, quality and productivity. Lead cost optimization initiatives and negotiation campaigns.

Drive initiatives with internal partners (manufacturing, R&D, Procurement) to support strategies generation and implementation and guarantee ST adherence to most innovative market trends.

Bring a different experience and best practices on processes and procedures to further promote lean culture and lead cultural change.

Main Task and Responsibilities

Align a sourcing strategy with China sourcing team and global/central QMT team

Scout Chinese market for Front End equipment and spares suppliers

Build and deploy a strategy to introduce Chinese suppliers to new projects in ST front-end plants (Singapore, Crolles, Agrate and Catania) by managing through influence cross-functional teams

Align needs and opportunities with SST JV

Manage relationships/escalations with Chinese and Japanese suppliers

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Master degree in engineering or similar, MBA is a plus
  • At least 10 years of Procurement experience in electronic industry
  • Experience in managing JV is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, assertive leadership, ability to influence decision making processes in complex situations
  • Strategic thinking and data driven decision making style
  • Proven experience in complex, multinational companies and matrix organizations
  • English business proficiency
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office suite
