BIM Modeling Job Description

As a BIM modeling specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Building Information Models (BIM) across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create high-quality BIM models from all trades for ongoing and past model work
  • Review and organize models and data collected from external sources (CAD & Model)
  • Work on multiple discipline models and coordinate quality assurance/quality control activities
  • Manage change orders and track milestones through different project phases
  • Communicate with clients to ensure project operations meet company standards and client requirements
  • Document project issues and resolve them effectively with clients
  • Assist in resource planning and develop strategies for effective BIM model management
  • Perform quality analysis tests to verify consistency between product and plans
  • Liaise with architects, clients, engineers, and train team members on developing BIM models and utilizing BIM software
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in BIM technologies and integrate new solutions into our workflow

Requirements:

  • Degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • At least 2 years' experience in building construction and project execution
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks
  • Strong technical knowledge and planning skills in managing modeling and drafting activities
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure
