Role summary
As a PR & Communications Manager, you'll be the main point of contact for media and communication logistics. You'll bridge marketing teams and media to drive timely, consistent narratives and earned coverage. This role requires a meticulous self-starter with a can-do attitude, wearing the hats of a strategist and project lead.
Role
Draft and refine press releases, media advisories, spokesperson quotes, and reactive statements across consumer and agent campaigns.
Pitch stories to media outlets and drive earned coverage, while establishing strong media relations for fast, targeted placements.
Liaise with journalists to coordinate interviews, filming, and story placements, managing all media logistics as needed.
Partner with the in-house comms lead to shape compelling, timely narratives for tentpole marketing efforts.
Support content partnerships, including copy adaptation, asset management, and production coordination, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and brand voice.
Work with intelligence leads to shape media-friendly commentary and provide ongoing support for expert insights and market trend stories.
Coordinate quick-turnaround opportunities for op-eds, expert quotes, and press responses.
Track earned media pickup, sentiment, and key narratives using monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater and Pulsar).
Surface key insights for comms reporting and evaluation, supporting the development of monthly comms dashboards and share-of-voice reports.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., marketing and creative) to align campaign messaging and timelines.
You
4+ years of experience in communications or PR, preferably in a fast-paced or agency environment.
Demonstrated ability to pitch and secure media coverage and a track record of building strong media relations across consumer, lifestyle, or property beats.
Strong writing and editing skills, especially for media-facing content, with a proven ability to draft high-quality press materials.
A self-starter who can hit the ground running, work independently, and adapt quickly to evolving priorities.
Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring deadlines, materials, and approvals are met in a timely manner.
Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
Familiarity with media monitoring tools like Meltwater or Pulsar is a strong plus.
High sense of ownership, delivering high-quality work and always curious about the impact of the team\'s work on the business.
Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
