Our Outsourcing service delivers recruitment for some of the world’s top employers, and we are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client in the global financial services sector. The client operates across Retail, Wholesale (Global Markets and Investment Banking), and Investment Management divisions.
Role context
The Chief Data Office leads the firm’s data, cloud and AI strategy, governance, and data culture. This role collaborates with Business and Corporate functions to ensure data assets are managed in line with the firm’s data management framework and standards.
Responsibilities
Risk and control mindset: Understand data, cloud and AI risks and interpret governance policies and frameworks.
Responsible AI: Develop and manage responsible AI practices and address emerging risks of Generative AI.
Controls modernization: Apply analytics and AI/ML techniques to enhance and automate data, cloud and AI controls.
AI/ML model development: Develop and optimize models for accuracy, scalability, and performance.
Model evaluation: Establish best practices for evaluation, testing and upgrades.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work with data engineers, software developers, and subject matter experts to integrate data science solutions.
Solution delivery: Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions with SDLC considerations, including data integration, security, and scalable design.
Communication: Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, and articulate risks, benefits and controls for data, cloud and AI.
Continuous learning: Stay updated on advances in data science, ML and AI and improve existing solutions.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in data and analytics roles.
Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning; ability to ensure model accuracy, scalability and performance.
Hands-on experience with model pipelines for testing, training, and deployment.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tools.
Proficiency in handling unstructured and semi-structured data.
Ability to evaluate models with responsible/ethical AI frameworks and apply controls to manage AI risk.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional work.
Knowledge of SDLC standards, including data integration, application security, and scalable design.
