Overview
Camarine is seeking an experienced and results-driven
QC Site Coordinator
to support a major international shipyard project in China. The ideal candidate will bring extensive
quality control and assurance experience
in shipyard environments and
must have prior experience working on Brazilian projects . This role requires
multi-disciplinary familiarity
across
Stress, Piping, Mechanical, MEHA, EEHA, and MC , and a strong grasp of
Brazilian regulatory compliance .
Note:
This is a client-facing role. While the client is confidential, the project scope is large-scale and complex, demanding a high degree of quality oversight and leadership.
Responsibilities
Quality Oversight:
Provide site-level quality control and assurance oversight across all disciplines to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
QMS Implementation:
Support the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Management System (QMS).
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and policies.
Quality Planning:
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality plans and work procedures throughout all project phases.
Audits & Inspections:
Conduct and support internal quality audits, vendor inspections, and site inspections to identify gaps and drive improvements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and organize comprehensive quality documentation; deliver regular quality reports to stakeholders.
Meetings & Communication:
Actively participate in project quality meetings and facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners.
Brazilian Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all deliverables and procedures are compliant with Brazilian project standards and requirements.
Risk Management:
Identify quality risks early and lead resolution efforts in collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 20 years
of professional experience in
shipyard quality assurance/control , including
site coordination responsibilities .
Proven experience on Brazilian projects
– understanding of regulatory frameworks and documentation standards is essential.
Strong multidisciplinary knowledge across
Stress, Piping, Mechanical, MEHA (Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC Automation), EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas), and MC (Mechanical Completion) .
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Will be working in
China
for the duration of the contract.
