Store Supervisor cum Procurement Assistant

Job Summary: The Store Supervisor cum Procurement Assistant is responsible for overseeing the site store operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting the procurement team in sourcing and purchasing materials, tools, and equipment required for construction activities. The role is critical for maintaining an efficient supply chain and minimizing project delays.Key Responsibilities: Store Supervision: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and segregation of construction materials. Conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits. Monitor material consumption and update records in real time. Prevent material wastage, damage, or theft through proper control systems. Ensure compliance with safety and storage regulations. Coordinate with site engineers for daily material requirements. Manage tools and equipment issuance and returns from site workers. Procurement Assistance: Assist the procurement department in sourcing construction materials, tools, and consumables. Obtain quotations from approved vendors and prepare comparison sheets. Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery timelines. Maintain purchase records and assist in invoice verification and documentation. Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for timely material delivery to site. Liaise with accounts and admin departments regarding purchase orders and payments. Qualifications and Experience: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field. 2+ years of experience in storekeeping or procurement, preferably in the construction industry. Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Key Skills: Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Problem-solving and proactive attitude. Team player with strong coordination abilities.
